Lets Vote on it!

Dear Editor,

As you know, the Katy Park has acquired "the Little Red House" for a museum so we are again in need of funds for renovations. This is the oldest house in White City and served as the town's first post office. That was when it was white limestone and known to townspeople as "the Rock House". It has been stucco-red for as long as anyone now living can remember. Some people want to retain the red; some want to return to the original limestone for authenticity; almost all are quite vociferous in their feeling about the color.

"Put your money where your mouth is!" A dollar donation for renovations equals one vote. Stuff the ballot-box. As the old Tammany sachem expressed it, "Vote Early, Vote Often".

Please send your contribution and color request by Labor Day to Linda Arnold in White City; Howard Cook, 1512 Columbine, Junction City, KS 66441 or Alton Lee, 808 DeHoff Dr., Manhattan, KS 66502 or bring it to one of the museums on Labor Day. Thank you, Alton Lee

PS Donations to maintain the museums are always welcome, regardless of season or weather!
