The newspaper industry has lost an icon...... Council Grove and Morris County has lost a friend!

CopyDon McNeal..... an icon or the newspaper industry and a true friend to anyone who knew him! Don passed away Sunday but leaves behind a legacy of service to his family, friends, press association and community.
Don's passion for and committment to Council Grove and the entire Morris County area was something to be admired.
Don was always nice enough to compliment me on our small newspaper which was such an encouragement to me. I will always be grateful for those kind words as they meant so much coming from the rock of journalism.
Our condolences to the McNeal family......thank you for sharing such a special man with all of us. He will certainly be missed but indeed, not forgotten.
