The Dwight City Council met in regular session at 7:00 P.M. on August 17, 2009. Council members present were: Eugene Anders, Pam Goss, Joyce Gallaway, and Kenny Kaluhiokalani. Scott Switzer and Galen Johnson were absent. Council President Joyce Gallaway presided.
Visitors present: Bob Goss and Jack York.
The council discussed the letter that has been written up to send out to the community to see how the citizens would like to see the Community Building issues be handled. It contains a list of options that are being considered. They would like to have these letters back by September 12th. The city clerk is mailing them out.
Mark Block gave the.water managers report. All systems are working and no problems known at this time.
The council reviewed the minutes from the previous meeting regular meeting. Eugene moved to approve the minutes as presented with addition of Jack York requesting that the minutes be published in the Prairie Post each month. Pam seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried.
The council reviewed the bills to be paid. Ken moved to pay the bills as presented. Pam seconded the motion. All were in favor, motion carried.
There was a discussion about Don Glessner mowing the south side of K-4. The council didn't think he needed to be mowing that area. The council asked the city clerk to ask Don not to mow that area anymore.
There was a discussion about the yards in town that are not being mowed properly and the trash being left in yards. Letters are going to be sent out to those not keeping their yards maintained.
Pam moved to adjourn, Eugene seconded the motion. All in favor, motion carried.
