Joys and concerns were: Edna Mae Joy, Dorothy Gleason, Norma Dutton, Tracey Oltmanns, Pastor Brakenhoff, Warren Hoch, Marietta Warneke, and Marilyn Kaluhiokalani. Karen had a joy that her grandson, Dus-tin SanRomani, was married recently, and Pat Smith has a new great-grandson, Peyton Marlar. Several members had grandchildren who found employment lately.

The secretary minutes were read by Vonnie Lloyd in the absence of Doris McDiffett. Norma Dutton gave the treasurer's report.

Karen displayed the posters she had made for the Fall Festival which will be on October 21 st. She reminded us of several events in September and October which included the Fall District meeting on Oct. 3rd, the Parish Bike Ride Oct. 17th, and the Old Settler's Day/Alumni on Sept. 26th.

In new business it was decided to give Youthville Christmas gifts to one boy and one girl. Karen read the list of officers for 2010 which had been presented to her by the nominating commit-tee. They were: Pres.-Karen Smith; Vice Pres.-Vonnie Lloyd; Sec.-Doris McDiffett; Treas.-Norma Dutton; nominating committee-Gloria Smith, Dorothy Gleason and Gayla Morgan; callers-Pat Smith, Clelen Stephenson, Norma Dutton and Mary Rhein. The motion was made to cast a unanimous vote for this list of officers. It was seconded and passed.

Karen asked if we wanted to increase the pledge for 2010. It was voted to increase it to $625.00. We will be serving the K-State campus ministry meal on Nov. 22nd. We will serve the traditional Thanksgiving meal. The Fall Festival was discussed with small changes to the food list and the workers' list.

Karen gave the lesson. She gave each member a paper plate with a mirror on it. We were to reflect on our beliefs, what led us in our faith journey and who has helped us in this journey. The members discussed several scripture readings and then told what the scripture meant to them. Several songs were sung by the group with Gayla Morgan at the piano. Karen closed with a prayer and all reciting the Purpose.

Delicious refreshments were served by Delores Eldridge and Deloris Ashburn to Karen, Pat Vonnie, Gayla, Norma, Mary and Pastor Duane Andres.
