The October meeting of the Dizzy Dames Service Organization was held at the home of Marsha Tischhauser. Roll call was a kitchen towel exchange followed by reading of the minutes and treasurer's report from the previous meeting. Members voted to pay bills that were presented for balloons and helium that were used for the homecoming balloon release. It was reported that 60 balloons were distributed at the game which seemed to be a sufficient amount. Other old business discussed was the upcoming Halloween parade. Kimberly Stilwell is taking care of publicity and Kim Sanford suggested that she might write a letter to merchants reminding them that the youngsters would be parading through town on Halloween evening. Kim Sanford showed club members the prizes she had purchased to distribute to the participating trick-or-treat-ers. It was decided to have the children meet at the steps of the Methodist Church at 6:30 for a picture and then the parade will start.

New business on the agenda was Santa's visit. It was decided to have it on Dec. 18th before the Hope/White City basketball game. Also a tentative date for the Christmas party was set for Dec. 9. Following the business meeting, Marsha gave an interesting lesson about different types of teas and members tasted a variety of hot teas and learned about each one. Co-hostess Lela Engel served refreshments to members Kylee Engel, Kimberly Stilwell, Stephanie Laudemann, Melanie Hilbert, Kim Sanford, Courtney Parker, Marsha Tischhauser, and Nancy Morgan.
