hear report of success of Halloween Paraade.... plan Santa's visit

Eleven members of Dizzy Dames Service organization gathered at the home of Terra Egger for the November 2nd meeting. Roll call was items to be donated to the Senior Center in White City. Minutes were read and approved as corrected. A treasury balance was given by Marsha Tischhauser.

Kim Sanford and Kimberly Stilwell reported on the success of the Halloween parade of costumes with at least 80 children participating. The timing was just perfect by gathering at the church for a picture at 6:30 P.M. More merchants and community members were present and participated this year.

Plans for Santa's visit were reported by Debbie Engel and Lela Engel. Debbie read through a list of merchants to send letters to, asking for donations. Debbie will get a letter sent out to those on the list. Lela reported that she had contacted Santa. He will greet children Friday evening, December 18 at a home basketball game. Kim Sanford then asked if members thought people would like to have pictures taken of their children. She has recently purchased a new camera, and could print the pictures there on site to be sold. Members agreed to have her be the photographer for that night.

Kimberly Stilwell and Stephanie Laudemann shared tentative plans for the Dizzy Dames Christmas party. An evening in one member's home with the committee providing the main dish and members each bringing side dishes has been planned. Members decided to again do a Chinese gift exchange as we have for several years.

The meeting was then adjourned and members elected the-following officers for 2010: President, Debbie Engei; Vice President/President Elect, Kim Sanford; Secretary, Lela Engel; Treasurer, Marsha Tischhauser; Reporter, Nancy Morgan.

The remainder of the evening was spent deciding on standing committees, hostesses, co-hostesses, lesson leaders, and roll call for each of the 2010 meetings as well as enjoying refreshments provided by Kourtni Rapp.

Members attending were Debbie Engel, Kourtni Rapp, Terra Egger, Kylee Engel, Lela Engel, Melanie Hilbert, Kim Sanford, Kimberly Stilwell, Courtney Pa'rker, Stephanie Laudemann, and Marsha Tischhauser.
