It is sometimes hard to know where to go or who to call when help is needed for your child. The Adolescent Assessment and Resource Center (AARC) serves youth ages 5 to 18 that reside in Dickinson, Geary, Marion and Morris counties.

The goal of the program is to provide screening, assessment, referral and resources for youth and families seeking assistance. Once it is determined what type of services are wanted and/or needed, AARC staff can refer youth and families to the services or give the information to access the services themselves.

Program components include risk/strength assessments, life skills classes, parent-requested drug screens, truancy prevention, Juvenile Intake follow-up and resource referrals. All services are provided free of charge. This program is operated through funds granted to the 8th Judicial District from the KS Juvenile Justice Authority for prevention-based programs.

For more information regarding program services or to schedule an appointment, please contact program staff at (785) 762-3105 ext. 6
