BCMW now accepting appointements for LIHEAP

BCMW Community Services, Inc. will start making appointments for both connected and disconnected households for the 2011 Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) today, September 1.

Only households with someone 60 and over or currently receiving some form of government disability will be eligible to make their appointment at this time. Appointments can be made by phone or in person. Those households with someone 60 or over or receiving disability and received cooling will not need to apply, their applications will roll over.

All other households will be eligible to call and make their appointments on November 1.

Eligibility is determined by providing 30 days proof of income and having a utility bill in the head of households' name. If utilities are included in rent, you may still be eligible for assistance.

Your appointment must be made with a LIHEAP representative. Leaving a message will not get you an appointment.

The 30 day income guidelines are as follows: 1 person household - $1, 354; 2 - $1, 821; 3 - $2, 289; 4 - $2, 756; 5

- $3, 224; 6 - $3, 691; 7 - $4, 159; 8

- $4, 626. '
