CopyMary Jane Wilcox, 70, of Salida, Colorado, died August 25, 2009, at Pikes Peak Hospice in Colorado Springs from complications of Lupus.
Mary was born October 22, 1938 in Decatur, Illinois to Jess and Evelyn Ballinger; they preceded her in death. She was an identical twin.
Her infant son, Paul, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include husband Michael, of Salida, Colorado; daughters Julia Wilcox of Oakwville, Illinois and daughter Elizabeth (Jeremy) Petersen of Salida, Colorado; son John Wilcox of Albuquerque, New Mexico; granddaughter Michaela, of Salida, Colorado; twin sister Mar-cia Jean Bower, of Lake-worth, Florida; and brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Mary enjoyed family, friends, music, her church, road trips, walking and cooking.
Per the family and Mary, no service are planned at this time. Contributions can be made to First Presbyterian Church in Salida or Angel of Shavano Hospice in Salida to assist in their efforts to establish in patient hospice services.
