Recently, Brady Brown, of KGAS radio has also been doing some subbing at Tatum Elementary and Tatum Primary. On a recent sub job at the elementary school, and in an effort to encourage the students to pay attention and do their work, Mr. Brown made a deal with the kids that he would take a pie in the face if the 3rd and 4th grade Eagles beat the Blue Knights in Little League Football. However, if the Blue Knights won, Mr. Brown would get to do the pie throwing. Given the Blue Knights record, Mr. Brown assumed this was a safe bet. However, the deal must have been just the motivation the Eagles needed because on Saturday, they showed up and beat the Blue Knights 22 toO!

A man of his word, Mr. Brown entered a cafeteria full of elementary students on Monday, took the seat of honor and was pied, not once but twice by 4th graders, DeAndre Bradley and Drake Centers. The students watching went wild with laughter, cheering and clapping. They got a huge kick out of this event. Principal Malone stated with a smile "This seemed to be such a great motivator for the students that I'm thinking we may encourage Mr. Brown to offer his services again during TAKS time."
