Ruth Davis, age 84, of Belcourt, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2010, in the Rolette Community Care Center, Rolette.

Ruth Mae was born on May 27, 1925, in Belcourt to Robert and Mary Jane (Keplin) Davis. She passed away on May 13, 2010, in Rolette at the age of 84 years old.

Ruth attended school in Belcourt when she was young and went on to graduate high school in Marty, South Dakota. Ruth worked at San Haven in Dunseith for a time and then became a wonderful homemaker. Ruth enjoyed playing cards, playing bingo, going to the casino, baking, sewing and attending family gatherings. She lived with her sister, Janet, and they had many good times together. Ruth also enjoyed knitting. She will be lovingly missed by all of her family and friends.

Ruth is survived by her sisters, Janet Davis of Belcourt and Correne Vondal of Belcourt; and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Russell, Joe, Elmer, Verlin and Omar; sisters, Doreen Baker, Mary Rose Davis and Delores Davis; and an infant sibling; and also her brother-in-law, Louis Vondal Jr.

Casket bearers are Bryant Davis, Brandis Davis, Mithchell Davis, Nathan Vondal, Keith LeBeau and Russell Davis Jr.

Honorary bearers are all nieces and nephews.

Music was provided by Travis Vondal, Jamie LaVallie, and Troy DeCoteau.

Gifts were provided by Danielle and Brandis Davis.

Readers were provided Gloria Davis and Brenda Davis.

Funeral Mass was held Thursday, May 20, 2010, St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Belcourt.

Burial was in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery, Belcourt.

Elick Funeral Home, Rolla, was in charge of arrangements.
