One killed in accident near St. John

Turtle Mountain Star of Rolla, North Dakota

A 50-year-old St. John man was killed Saturday afternoon in a one-vehicle accident.

Robert S. Rham was pronounced dead at Presentation Medical Center in Rolla after the accident along Rolette County Highway 43 just west of St. John.

According to a report from the N.D. Highway Patrol, Rham was traveling from Calvin to St. John in a 1993 Chevy pickup when it entered the north ditch for unknown reasons. The vehicle then struck an approach but did not roll.

Rham was transported to Presentation Medical Center in Rolla for treatment but passed away at the hospital. He was not wearing a seat-belt.

Responding to the accident were the Highway Patrol and the Rolette County Sheriff's Department. The accident occurred around 4:15 p.m. Saturday, September 12.
