Rolla Arts Council holds art show

The Rolla Arts Council will host a fall art show Saturday. October 10, 2009. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Rolla City Hall.

The show is open to anyone wishing to exhibit visual art of any kind. Those wanting to participate can bring their work to the city hall on Friday, October 9, from between 1 and 6 p.m. Pictures should be ready to hang. Exhibits must be picked up by 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 10.

Food will also be available at the event, including pies. Also for sale will be "attic treasures" such as afghans and decorated shoes?

Visitors at the show are encouraged to browse, sit, visit and enjoy a slice of pie and coffee throughout the day. Proceeds from sales at the show will be used to fund a wheat sculpture to be completed for Rolla's 125th celebration in 2013. Anyone wishing to donate funds directly to the project at any time can do so at Dacotah Bank in Rolla. There is a special "wheat sculpture account" set up at the business.
