Rolla Horizons group members attend seminars to further goals

A contingent of Rolla's Horizons team recently a pair of seminars to further bolster the group's goal of reducing poverty in the area.

The group attended the Small Town Success Summit in Devils Lake, which featured Jep Enck as the keynote speaker.

Enck shared his insight on navigating the economic social and technological changes taking place in businesses and communities as the country moves into a new economy.

The summit also featured round-table presenters on topics such as community leadership, housing, communication, stimulus funding, employment and wind energy projects.

The second seminar involved grant writing and was aimed at training and getting results.

The seminar was led by Dr. Lynette Krenelka who has extensive experience in administration, teaching, consulting and participating in the grantsmanship process.

The seminar was sponsored by North Dakota State University Extension Service Center for Community Vitality.
