Steve and Bev Neameyer went to Velva Saturday, October 24, where they attended the wedding of Katie Carlson and Matt Hagen. Katie is the daughter of Bruce and Cindy Carlson, of Velva, and the granddaughter of Howard and Bernice Carlson, of rural Rock Lake, and Leila Peterson, of Rock Lake. Following the wedding, they attended the reception at the Sleep Inn in Minot. Steve and Bev returned home on Sunday.

Babe Benson attended the grade basketball game at Wolford School on Monday. She was able to visit with Richard and Lucille Gust, of rural Kramer, who were also at the game. Lucille's granddaughter. Hannah Wash, played on the Wolford team.

Bernard and Margie Beck, of rural Wolford, were Tuesday afternoon coffee guests of Dick and Babe Benson.

Colleen Harlow took Celia Rahn, of Rolette, to supper Tuesday evening at a Rolette restaurant, for an early celebration of Celia's Wednesday birthday.

Four Canadian couples, camping friends of Sharon and Lloyd Hov-land at their Killarney, Manitoba, camping site, came on Saturday. Jim and Florence Oakland, of Bisbee, fellow campers, joined the group, and they surprised Gary and Doris Martin, fellow campers, at their Bisbee home before they all went out for supper in Bisbee. The party then moved to the Hovland Farm where the group enjoyed dessert. Two of the Canadian couples were overnight guests at Jim and Florence's, and the other two couples stayed overnight with Lloyd and Sharon.

Lloyd and Sharon Hovland attended the last regular service at Perth Lutheran Church on Sunday morning. There will be a last service this coming summer.

Sharon Hovland, of rural Perth. Carlyss Neufeld, Hope and Grade, of Rolla, Carol Oakland, of rural Bisbee, and Lori Kurtti and Owen were among the guests who attended a baby shower in honor of Oscar Jacob DeCock, son of Andrew and Candace DeCock, of Killarney, at the Killarney Baptist Church, on Sunday.

Oscar Jacob was born September 30, weighed 6#, 15 ozs., and is named for both of his great-grandfathers. Grade and Owen helped deliver the gifts at the shower.

Glenn and Mavis Overby attended the funeral service for Mark Haagenson at Valle Lutheran Church in Rolette Friday morning.

Dorvan and Eileen Yoder, Janolyn and Joshua, and Glenn Martin left Thursday and traveled to Arkansas for the weekend. They visited their daughter, Janae and Brian Mullett, Alyssa and Sherri, and Eileen's brother, the Freeman Yoder Family. When they came back, Joyce Yoder accompanied them. Joyce had been living and working in Arkansas, but has moved back home. They returned home Monday night.

Peggy Schell and Randy and Jeannie Schell attended the funeral service for Mark Haagenson at Rolette on Friday. Mark and Randy were classmates in the class of .1984 at Rolette High. Randy was one of the pallbearers. Peggy's nephew. Brad Edwardson, of Wahpeton, was here for the funeral and was also a pallbearer. Many of the other members of the class attended also.

Karen Desjarlais, of Rolla, accompanied her sister, Joan Anfinson, to Westhope where they met their sister, Jane Ormiston, of Minot, and the three attended the memorial service at Westhope Nursing Home Sunday afternoon. Eileen Foster, the ladies mother, was among those remembered. The ladies' aunts, Theresa Await, of Bottineau, and Esther Fugere, of rural Willow City, also attended the event. All of them then went to Bottineau, and visited Joan's sister, Jacky Klingbeil, who is recuperating from knee surgery. Lloyd Await joined the group and they helped Jacky celebrate her birthday before returning to their respective homes.

Steve and Lynnette Berg and Logan went to Jamestown on Saturday to visit Steve's sister, Lois and Freddie Wood. They continued on to Valley City to the home of their son, Ross and Caron Berg, Reagan, and Camryn, and were overnight guests. Steve, Lynnette and Logan returned Sunday morning in time to attend church in Bisbee.

Darryl and Renae Zappone went to Bottineau on Saturday to attend the last football game of the season at Dakota College. It was parent's day, and the parents of the sophomores were honored on the field. Matt Zappone, who attends MSU at Minot, and Renae's aunt, Roxanne and Bob Mott, of Minot, also came to watch Tyler play on the Dakota team. They won the game against Trinity Bible College from Ellen-dale. Darryl. Renae and Tyler attended the reception for the players and their parents at the college following the game.

Jerry Schmidt, of Devils Lake, and Glenn Armstrong returned home on Monday from Idaho, following a successful elk hunt there. Danny Armstrong was a Tuesday morning visitor at Glenn and Cathy's.

Curt and Char Halvorson visited Wayne and Tody Miller at Rugby on Sunday. Tuesday, John Steinke, of Minot, was a visitor at Curt and Char's.

Benard and Carol Knudson went to Hillsboro on Saturday, to meet Benard's brother, Edward Knudson, of Cando, and son, Laverne, for a visit to deliver a package to Edward as he was in Fargo with his wife, Barb, for her medical appointments. Benard and Carol then went into Grand Forks to the home of their daughter, Denise and Bob Schneider.

They attended the Halloween party hosted by their granddaughters, Lisa Bursinger, of Grand Forks, and Jana Shogren, of Brainerd, Minnesota, for the little kids at the Schneider home, before the youngsters went out trick or treating. All of Benard and Carol's great-grandchildren, except one, were at the party. Benard and Carol were overnight guests of Lisa and Travis Bursinger, Landon and Talen, before returning home on Sunday.

Christine Knudson, of Grand Forks, was a Tuesday dinner guest of her grandparents, Benard and Carol Knudson.

Richard and Carol Bonn were Saturday supper guests of their son, Allen and Lome Bonn, Dalton, Cole and Aaron, of rural Churchs Ferry.

Chris and Donna Jones and Ben went to Grand Forks for the weekend, where they were houseguests of Donna's niece, Jennifer and Jared Fredrickson. They attended the Halloween party at the Schneider home on Saturday afternoon. Sunday, Cass Jones, and his friend. Amber, of Grand Forks, joined Chris, Donna and Ben for brunch at a local restaurant. Later they went to the home of Donna's brother, Leo and Erin Knudson and family, of Thompson, to watch the Minnesota Vikings football game. They had supper with Leo's before returning home.

Jay Spanjers, of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, arrived at Danief and Darla Armstrong's Friday evening. Jay came to hunt and stayed until Monday morning, when he left for home.

Tom Peterson was a visitor of Daniel and Darla Armstrong, and their houseguest. Jay Spanjers, Friday evening. They had cake to help Tom celebrate his birthday that day.

Dianne Johnson, of Rolla, and Darla Armstrong, went to Langdon on Saturday where they had dinner with their aunt, Marlene Petri. On the way home, Darla and Dianne stopped at the home of Darla's daughter, Amanda and Brian Buch-weitz and Colton. in Munich.

Brian and Amanda Buchweitz and Colton were Sunday visitors of Daniel and Darla Armstrong.

Tuesday, Darla Armstrong went to Rugby and visited Lorraine Armstrong for an early birthday celebration. Lorraine's birthday was on Wednesday.

Sterling Beachy was a Sunday dinner guest at the home of his brother. Dwight and Verna Beachy.
