The students assisted retirement home residents and at the home of tribal elder, Verna Jeanotte.

They also helped housing employees, Terry LaVallie and Kyle LeBeau with maintenance work on rental units in the Kent Addition.

Monique Vondall-Rieke, Program Coordinator for the NDSU Office of Multicultural Programs corresponded that, "the students, staff and faculty from NDSU that traveled to Belcourt to learn about the culture and provide community service to tribal members had an amazing experience."

Turtle Mountain Housing Authority Executive Director Ron Peltier commented that the Housing Authority is proud to be involved in the cultural exchange and learning experience with the NDSU students. He further commended housing staff for their role in teaching the students about the community and the needs of the tribal members.
