The Kansas Motor Carriers Association Foundation this week awarded scholarships to two local students. This is the inaugural gift from the Foundation which was established earlier this year in Topeka.

Angela Bush, Eskridge, received the Marvin D. Robertson scholarship in the amount of $1000. She has plans to attend Neosho County Community College this Fall and pursue a degree in Physical Therapy.

Tyler Tangeman, Bern, received the William H. Graves Scholarship in the amount of $1000. He has plans to attend the North Central Kansas Technical College and study diesel mechanics.

Checks were presented at the KMCA office in Topeka by Foundation Chairman Jeff W. Robertson. Recipients were chosen based on their academic record, community involvement and financial need.

The KMCA Foundation is a non-profit educational, public relations, research and community service organization created by the Kansas Motor Carriers Association to promote the trucking industry to the people of Kansas.

For nearly 73 years KMCA has represented the trucking industry in Kansas and KMCA is proud to have more than 1,100 trucking companies and allied industries as members.
