The North Dakota Parks and Recreation Department has restructured rates and fees for 2010-2011. This notice alerts customers of the new rates found in the new "Fees and Facilities" brochure which is available online or by request from state parks or department headquarters in Bismarck.

While daily and annual park entrance fees remain the same, park customers will find changes in camping fees and miscellaneous fees including shelter, meeting room and equipment rental. The changes went into effect on Jan. 1, 2010 and will remain in place at through 2011.

"The changes were implemented in response to the parks' funding needs and were made to standardize charges across the system," NDPRD director Doug Prchal explains. "The park system operations are fee based and have been challenged by inflationary costs for utilities, services and goods. In order to continue to provide the services our customers have come to expect, we've had to adjust rates and fees accordingly. We've also standardized fees and rates so consumers know what to expect no matter which park they are using."

For complete details review the Fees and Facilities 2010-2011 brochure available online at www.parkrec.nd.gov. A copy of the brochure can also be requested by calling NDPRD headquarters in Bismarck at 701-328-5357 or from any state park.
