CopyErnest E. Bina, age 88 of Park River, ND formerly of Lankin, ND passed away Sunday, August 29, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River. Ernest E. Bina was born June 3, 1922 to the late Michael L. and Josephine J.
(Brodina) Bina. HeJ______
attended rural school near Lankin. Following his education he began farming. Ernest was united in marriage to Henrietta Studney on October 26, 1943 in Pisek. The couple made their home in rural Lankin and raised their family there. Ernest retired from farming in 1987 and the couple moved into Lankin in 1994. Henrietta passed away November 25, 2007. Ernest moved to the Good Samaritan Center in June 20Q9.
Ernest enjoyed working with John Deere tractors, small engines and making craft items. He loved old time music, farming and harvest time.
Ernest was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Bechyne, ND and St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Lankin, ND.
He is survived by his children:
Judy (Herb) Horner, Grand Forks, ND and David (Bonnie) Bina, Monument, CO; grandchildren: Loree (Brad) Alberts, Curt (Malena) Horner, Lance (Lanae)
Horner, Michelle Bina, and Craig Bina; great grandchildren: Tanner, Lexi, Kayla, Kylee, Kamee, Bailey and Hunter. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Henrietta, brother Rudolph Bina and sister Lillian Kadlec.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, September 2, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church of Lankin. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Friends may also call at the church for one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
