CopyTommie F. Renner, 80, died September 9, 2009 in Casper. At his request, no services were planned.
He was born on June 14, 1929 in Industry, Illinois. Tommie graduated from Industry High School in 1947 and went to Wyoming to work with his brothers. He married Arliss Rinegar in 1953 in Pierre, South Dakota. They were married for 50 years. Together they raised four children while both attending General Beadle State Teachers College in Madison, South Dakota. He later obtained a masters degree in education from South Dakota State Teachers College, in Spearfish, South Dakota. He taught at Upton Elementary in Upton. Wyoming and later at Casper College in Casper, where he taught his love of heavy equipment and trucks to his students. Tommie helped build, and loved to drive, the highways. Tommie was a member of the Masonic Temple and former Mills Town Council Member. On July 6, 2003, he married Ada Jane Johnston of Macomb, Illinois.
He is survived by his wife, Ada Jane Johnston Renner; son Frank (Kris) Renner of Upton; daughters, Darla (Larry) Ellis of Upton, and Trisha (Brandon) Siemion of Ft. Smith, Montana; his brother, Robert (Darlene) Renner of Mills; stepchildren, Greg (Linda) Johnston, Mike Johnston, Pam (Joe) Heaton, all of Illinois, and Renee (Bill) Lotz of Alabama. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, six step grandchildren, and nine step greatgrandchildren, and numerous friends who he thought of as family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen Adkisson Renner; his wife, Arliss; his son, Russell Renner; siblings, Cheryl, Charles, Roland (Red) Renner and Ferrol Parker.
