Assessors office mails change of value notices

CopyThe Assessor's office will be mailing out change of value notices to revaluation area four: Puget Island at the end of the week.
The conversion to a new software system has led to a delay in the mailing of the change of value notices. It is imperative, however that taxpayers be expedient in reviewing the change of value notices.
Each taxpayer has 30 days in which to contact the assessor's office to set an appointment for a review of their values.
Further, the taxpayer has the right to appeal his or her value to the board of equalization. Petitions for such appeals may be picked up at the Assessor's office or downloaded from the Assessor's web site at www.co.wahkiakum. us.waor call the Assessor's office at 360-795-3791 and forms will be mailed upon request.
