CopyDale L. Hansen, 83, died August 14, 2009.
He was born to Lewis Hansen and Alice Olson on January 24, 1926 and graduated from Newman Grove High School in 1943 before attending the University of Nebraska. He left the university to serve as an officer in the U.S. Navy. He graduated from the University of Washington and obtained a degree in education from Pacific Lutheran University.
He married his wife Harriet in 1950 and they lived in Longview. He served as principal of
Wahkiakum High School from 1954-1956, and taught at R.A.Long High School in Longview.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Harriet who died on March 31, 2009. He is survived by Peter and Joani Teutsch; Heidi, Erik and Kurt and Beverly Hills family; Karren, Kari and Liv Eisaman; Weston and Marietta Alexander of Everett and extended family in Nebraska.
A memorial service was held August 24 at the Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Bellevue.
