The Wilmot Wolves' football team tallied another win last Friday night against the Waubay/Summit Panthers, 14-8. Their season record is 3-0.

Tyler Anderson started things off for the Wolves with an interception in the Panther's end zone. Michael Argo passed to Jared Miller for the two extra points.

Wilmot and Waubay/Summit both remained scoreless in the next two quarters.

The Panthers scored in the fourth quarter and made the extra points. Wilmot scored, with 35 seconds remaining on the clock, on a pass from Argo to Troy Greiner.

Wilmot had 41 yards rushing with Argo leading that effort with 29 yards on five carries. He completed 9 of 27 passes for 101 yards. Greiner led in receiving with 67 yards on six catches. Both teams gave up three interceptions.

Austin Osterloh led the Pack defensively with 10.5 tackles and a fumble recovery, followed by Troy Greiner with 10 tackles and an interception.

Wilmot drew a bye this week, but will play the Tri-State Tigers here on Sept. 25.

Coach Hulscher said, "It was a very good game by both teams. To our kids' credit, we never gave up and kept fighting."
