Frank Reitmeyer

Frank Joseph Reitmeyer was born April 19, 1929, on the family farm in rural Ellis County, KS to the late Carl Wenzel and Mary (Schuster) Reitmeyer. He passed away Thursday, August 19, 2010, in the Highland Manor of Elko, NV at the age of 81.

He attended schools in rural Ellis County.

Frank served in the United States Army from December 12, 1952 until October 23, 1954.

Frank worked on the Kent Howard ranch in Elko, NV after leaving WaKeeney in 1969. He retired there until his death.

Survivors include three sons, Frank and wife, Jea-nette, of Princeton, KS, Ricardo and wife, Kathy, of Wichita, Robin and wife, Cheryl, of Topeka; a daughter, Johanna Musgrove of Hays; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five sisters, Anna Ge-schwenter of WaKeeney, Josephine Pfannenstiel of Wichita, Minnie Pfannenstiel of Brighton, CO, Betty Dietz and husband, Jerry, of Hays, Jenny Dreher of Woodlands, TX.

Frank's parents; a brother, John Reitmeyer, and three sisters, Frances Mai, Mary Roberts, and Matilda Williams preceded him in death.

Graveside services for Frank were held Wednesday, August 25, 2010 in the Kansas Veteran's Cemetery at WaKeeney with Pastor Randy Gibbs officiating.
