Audrey R. Hall, age 86, of Winthrop, Minnesota, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at the Winthrop Good Samaritan Center in Winthrop, Minnesota.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 27, 2010, at Faith United Church in Winthrop, Minnesota, with interment in the Winthrop Cemetery.

Clergy officiating was Pastor Eric Haugan. Organist was Ilene Bussler. Soloist was Darwin Frauendienst. "How Great Thou Art" and "Precious Lord.

Take My Hand, " special music by her daughters.

Congregational hymn was "What A Friend We Have In Jesus."

Casket bearers were Aaron Hall, Andrew Hall, Jason Holmvig, Steve Bratsch, Dennis Muller, and Curt Muller.

Audrey is survived by her son, Duane (Sandra) Hall of Hutchinson, MN; daughters, Joleen Volbert of St. Cloud, MN, Janice Hall of Hutchinson, MN, and Lori (Randy) Holmvig of Deerwood, MN.

Audrey was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Myron; husband, David Hall; brothers, Clayton (Marvis) Muller and Elwin Muller.

Audrey Ruth Hall was born on November 27, 1923, in Springfield, Minnesota. She was the daughter of George and Callie (Addleman) Muller. Audrey was baptized and confirmed in her faith as a youth. She received her educaT tioh at country schools in Lake Crystal and District 61 in Winthrop.

In 1944, she was united in marriage to Myron Oxendale and was widowed in 1945, due to his death during World War II. On April 17, 1948, she was married to David Hall at the Methodist Church in Winthrop. Their marriage was blessed with a son and three daughters. In 1950, David and Audrey purchased his parents' farm in rural Winthrop where they resided for 45 years. They retired and moved into town in 1995. Audrey and David shared 58 years of marriage before David passed away on July 6, 2006.

Audrey was a longtime member of the Winthrop Methodist Church and Faith United Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher, Ladies Aid and Choir member.

Audrey was blessed with many talents. She started decorating cakes as a young girl and was well known in the community making literally hundreds of birthday and elaborate wedding cakes. Music was another love, she could play by ear. Her family enjoyed many hours with her, playing and singing around the piano. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, crafts and drawing. Other interests extended to reading, fishing, crossword puzzles, and traveling.

She worked outside the home as a seamstress at Fingerhut and also worked 17 years as a clerk at Reese's Fairway Store. In later years, she was employed at Hands, Inc.

When she needed assistance with her daily care, Audrey entered the Winthrop Good Samaritan Center in Winthrop on March 16, 2007, and passed away there on Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at the age of 86 years.

Audrey was blessed with seven grandchildren, Aaron Hall, Laura (Scott) Rhodes, Rebecca (Josh) Copeland, Andrew (Stephanie) Hall, Callie (Jay) Bautch, Jason (Amber) Holmvig, and Amanda Volbert; great-granddaughters, Anya Svobodny and Mila Rhodes; brother, Harley (Carol) Mueller; sister, Barbara (Raymond) Bratsch; sister-in-law, Rosie Muller; nieces and nephews.
