Douglas Lee Thayer

Lake Almanor resident Douglas Lee Thayer passed from this life peacefully at the Life Care Center in Reno, Nev. August 25, 2009.

He was born in Sioux City, Iowa on May 18, 1931.

He is survived by his wife Eloise Imhoff Thayer, of Chester, Calif.; sons Phillip, Gary and Douglas Jr.; daughter Phyllis; step son Richard Imhoff; step daughter Charlene Davidson and dear sister Geraldine Goodbar along with a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by a wife, Betty, and brother Charles.

Services will take place in the Chester District Cemetery at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2.
