Substance abuse services available

The Almanor Basin Community Resource Center, a service of Plumas Rural Services, now provides substance abuse treatment services to the greater Lake Almanor area on a sliding fee scale.

Services include one-on-one counseling for drug and alcohol dependency issues with a certified addiction specialist. Group counseling sessions are also available depending on demand.

The Almanor Basin Community Resource Center, at 372 Main St. in Chester, is open Monday, Tuesday and

Wednesday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and Friday from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. The ABC Center is closed Thursdays. Treatment services may be scheduled outside of these hours according to client needs. For more information about substance abuse treatment services at the ABC
