Pat Devlyne

Pat Devlyne passed away on Sept. 20, 2009. He was born in Rochester, N.Y., in 1936 and moved to Susanville from La Mesa, Calif., in 1955 to attend Lassen College to study forestry. Pat worked on the Lassen National Forest as the district fire control officer, then became the North Zone special agent. Pat retired from the Forest Service in 1986 and worked for the Lassen County Sheriff's Office, Badge #209.

For the past several years Pat was a private criminal investigator in Susanville.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn Devlyne; sons Douglas Devlyne and Danny Devlyne; daughters Dena Wemple and Diane Thompson; two step-daughters Diana Antoine and Kelly Bradshaw, and 13 grandchildren.
