Decatur Area Arts Council To Present Arts In Central Park This Weekend

Decatur Area Arts Council and Gallery 510 will present Arts in Central Park in downtown Decatur's historic Central Park on Friday, September 17, from 5-7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. respectively. This juried fine arts fair is free and open to the public. Over 100 artists from 6

states will be exhibiting work for sale at 74 booths featuring a variety of media including jewelry, pottery, paintings-watercolor, oil, acrylic, pen and ink-metal sculptures, blown glass, fiber arts, baskets and more. Enjoy a festive atmosphere with music and special guests including a mime and painting demonstrations by local

skateboard artist, Shane Thompson. Also featured will be kids art activities by Striglos Just for Kids and a art shop for kids 12 and under with artwork provided by participating artists.

Shop early on Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. and listen to the soft jazz sounds of Morrocan Soul Be one of the Very Important Persons
