Longtime Helmville resident Hazel McGinness passed away March 7, 2009 in Seattle, Wash.

Hazel was born in 1919 in Wild Rose, N. D. She was without her beloved husband Verner (VJ or Mac) McGinness for the past 11 years of her life. Hazel and VJ had a ranch in Helmville for many years and leave behind dear friends and relatives.

She is survived by her sons Michael and Gerald, daughter-in-law Carole and grandson Alden.

Hazel will be buried at Fort Harrison in Helena Friday, Sept. 25, 2009 at 1 p.m. There will be a luncheon in Hazel's honor after the memorial sendee at the Red Lion Colonial Hotel in Helena.
