The Lakelander of Whitney, Texas
WHITNEY - At about 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, the Whitney Police Department was conducting an investigation for a suspect wanted for attempted capital murder by the Texas Parole Board and on local Class B Misdemeanor warrants.
While officers were preparing for entry into the suspect's residence he was observed fleeing the area in his personal vehicle, according to a report by Whitney PD Lieutenant Jake Sullivan. After a brief pursuit the suspect was taken into custody at FM 933 S. and State Hwy. 22.
Officer Chavez and Lieutenant Sullivan were aided in the arrest by the Hill County Sheriff's Office.
